Lit in Colour
Lit in Colour was launched by Penguin and The Runnymede Trust to find ways to support schools and introduce more books by authors of colour into the curriculum. I worked on the identity for Lit in Colour, as well as print and digital launch campaigns.

I experimented with hand drawn doodle motifs and text to recreate the expressiveness of students’ handwriting. This has been a key part of Lit in Colour’s tone of voice. This campaign launched with a portrait shoot on “The Pioneers”, which I illustrated the typography for.

Most recently I art directed and collaborated with the designer and illustrator Taaryn Brench on the design of a report, looking at the systematic underrepresentation of Black, Asian and minority ethnic writers in the curriculum. This report has been sent to teachers, parents and policy makers to inspire change and progress. You can see this here.

This project included data design and illustration, which needed to be informative but easy to understand and start much-needed conversation.
